SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING Warriors

Welcome to our world and we look forward to welcoming you to our Warriors Family.

Synchronized swimming is a hybrid form of swimming, dance, and gymnastics, consiting of swimmers (either solos, duets, trios, combos, or teams) performing a synchronised routine of elaborate moves in the water, accompanied by music.
It demands advanced water skills, and requires great strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry and precise timing, as well as exceptional breath control when upside down underwater. During routines, swimmers are required not to touch the bottom of the pool.

Our Mission

At Synchro Warriors we don't just teach athletes how to do synchronized swimming. We teach them discipline, time management, multi-tasking and social skills.
Synchro Warriors brings children and their families together, especially at competitions where they can show support and also be highly entertained by the synchronized swimming routines.

Our Vision

Synchronized swimming is not a very well-known sport in the Middle East and we plan on changing that by introducing it to athletes from a younger age so that they can reach a professional and international competitive level and show others what this amazing sport holds in store for them, and to generate an interest that will allow synchronized swimming to grow within the UAE.
In addition, they will benefit from building many positive social skills and life-long friendships.

They will be graded to provide an increasing test of ability in their designated age group. There are 6 grades to test the athlete abilities, as soon as they complete all the requirements to pass the first grade/level they will then proceed further on to the next grade / level.

History of SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING

Often called underwater ballet, this elegant sport requires more strength than one would assume. Imagine a gymnastic dance routine done in a pool. In the deep end. Underwater. While wearing full makeup.

The origins of the sport date back to 1924, when a group of Canadian women, led by water polo player and diver, Margaret Seller, developed what they called ‘ornamental swimming’ from lifesaving and swimming techniques. Within a year, rules were established and the first competitions were organised. In the late 19th century, synchronized swimming was a male-only event. However, in the 20th century it became a women's sport, every 4 years, during the Olympics, we watch graceful women perform choreographed underwater routines to music.
